Robinson Care is a family-run business founded in 2020, driven by a shared passion to create exceptional services that help young adults reach their full potential and lead fulfilling, meaningful lives. The first of Robinson Care's services is Bridge House, a transitional care home.
Bridge House is breaking new ground in more ways than one. Not only is it housed in a historic 200-year-old Grade II listed building, but it is also Kirklees’ first-ever transitional service model for young adults with learning disabilities and autism, aged 18-30. The goal of Bridge House is to continue setting new standards in care, by empowering young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to gain the skills, experience, and confidence they need to transition successfully to independent living.
Our Story
Meet our management team

Sergei Petrov
Sophie is the Nominated Individual and remains actively involved in Bridge House. Sophie’s journey in care began early in life when her parents opened a care home for adults with learning disabilities within the family home. For seven years, Sophie and her family lived within the care home, creating a close-knit, family-oriented environment. This experience shaped Sophie’s vision, and it was important for her to carry forward the same homely feel and welcoming atmosphere when designing Bridge House.Job title

The Bridge House team
Behind Bridge House is a dedicated, caring team who truly make the house what it is. They don’t just provide support - they build meaningful relationships, share laughter, encourage independence and celebrate every achievement, big or small.
It’s clear the young adults feel that too. When asked, “What is the best thing about living at Bridge House?” in a recent survey, this is what they said:
- "The staff are lovely"
- "The staff and people here are the best I could wish for"
- "The awesome staff"
